Will ShadeSecure hold my umbrella in the wind?
ShadeSecure is designed to stabilize a beach umbrella in light to moderate breezes. For stronger wind, use both sides of the Y-strap: one around the umbrella’s main pole at the locking ring and the other around an internal canopy rib. Keep both straps taut, fill the weight bag fully, and secure it with both stakes. Environmental conditions vary, so do not use the system in extreme weather or leave an umbrella unattended in dangerous wind.
How do I install it?
Setup takes three steps:
- Wrap one side of the integrated Y-strap around the main umbrella pole just above the runner ring and fasten the Velcro.
- Fill the anchor bag with sand, rocks, or another heavy medium, then position it so the strap is taut.
- Push the two straight stakes through the bag’s metal corner loops into the sand.
For heavier wind, attach the second strap to an internal umbrella rib under the bonnet, then make sure both sides are tight. No toolkit is required.
Which umbrellas and shades fit?
ShadeSecure is designed for almost any standard beach umbrella. The Y-strap attaches to the main umbrella pole and, for the heavier-wind setup, an internal canopy rib. The system can also work with pop-up canopies and other shades when their frame gives you a secure point for the strap. Umbrella or canopy is not included.
Is it waterproof or weather-resistant?
Yes, the anchor bag is made from marine-grade, UV-resistant reinforced 600D canvas, with stainless steel grommets and stakes. The product is designed for outdoor beach use. Let it dry before storing.
What is included?
The ShadeSecure Anchor System includes the reinforced canvas weight bag, integrated heavy-duty Y-strap, and two straight stainless-steel ground stakes. Fill material such as sand or rocks is not included, and the umbrella is not included.
How do I replace the stakes?
Official replacement stakes are available separately for stakes that are lost or damaged. Use the replacement stake pack with the existing metal corner loops. Click here to order new stakes.
How long does shipping take?
Orders are processed within 1–2 business days, excluding weekends and holidays. Standard shipping typically arrives 3–7 business days after dispatch. Expedited shipping is available at checkout, and expedited orders placed before 12:00 PM EST are processed the same business day. We currently ship within the United States only.
What is the return policy?
Returns are accepted only when the product is unused, in its original packaging, and within the applicable return window. The current policy does not specify the length of that window, so please contact us before sending a return to confirm eligibility and next steps.
